A proper EICR, not a rushed one.
An electrical installation condition report (EICR), or periodic inspection report as they used to be called, are often referred to by customers as a Landlord Safety Test or Homebuyers Test.
There are many companies you can call that will quote £100 to complete an EICR and will suggest the electrician will take an hour or less. If you are quoted this, then run. Most domestic EICRs, if done correctly by a single electrician, will take at least a couple of hours and that does not include the paperwork.
I will complete a thorough EICR and will not 'code' anything unnecessarily. Time and again I have been asked to quote for work that has been flagged as a C2, only to find it's not actually required.
